"Katie, I want you on Broadway."

"Broadway? No, I'm taking Sunset."

"I said Broadway, you whore!" Art bellowed, opening the apartment door and shoving me out into the hall. "You'll be lucky if I even come back!" I yelled and kicked the door with my high heel, conviently stubbing my toe. After another frustrated moment, I sighed, inched my skirt up even higher, and adjusted my purse on my shoulder.

Finding a deserted corner on Broadway Street was no easy task. I dodged headlights and crowds of people until I came to a southern end of the street. Seeing this to be a suitable spot, I looked around and then began my usual pacing. A few minutes passed before a lone car came cruising my way. It pulled up along side the curb nearest me. I trotted over to it, leaning into the passenger window to see my next customer.
